The design was great, the stage for both actors also, the paint was chosen well .... the paper was NOT! Why on earth did I wanted to paint this with gouache on thin white paper iso thcik drawing paper??? i admit, my fault, both paper blocks are in the same cabinet so just took the wo-rong one out. Result, a very nice design but due to the wet paint, the paper crawled up on every side and corner. GRRRRR! (as my bear would say!!).
So, canvas used was .. paper .... 9"x12", lots of black gouache and some white gouache (to mix a slight grey colour for the moon). Easiest to do was the circle ... hardest was to get the girl's shape acceptable right. Please enjoy!!

Yes, design is awesome! There is something little bit off in the lady, hair may be, or long torso, that why she is some creature either vampire or Gorgona. I attempted little human figure 2 times, I know it is incredibly difficult and human eye catches all imperfections right away.
Moon is just perfect and wolf is superb. As i said design is amazing!
You know, my daughter (better artist then me!) told me the corpse was too long for the legs. I altered that afterwards but could only do a little. I will try to lift her …. ahaum …. bottom still a little and the tummy, that might help!

It would be awesome to see your daughter works if she does not mind to register here. I am sure she has a lot to say and even guide us with some questions/answers.
I asked her yesterday …. and she was really upset about it! I have artworks from her but she is 200% against it that I might show these in public.
And my fatherheart to my only child believes in her so …. I cannot publish anything, nor will she be part of this community and she was rzeally serious about it.
Personally, and in all humbleness …. I think it's a small loss for the site! Sigh!!
I see, I can understand. When I was 15 my brother told me that I paint some C..p. oh, i was incredibly upset and it also was one of the factors not to pursue painting for a while.
I could not hold critiques that time.
It became better with years, but still not perfect, but the best thing happened that after 20 years, my brother told me, my paintings are beautiful. I was very happy to hear that.
I think young people can be seriously offended by some simple word and it will partially go away only as years pass by and thicker skin gets.
Well, my daughter knows she is good, and I keep telling her is she is better then me. I am far more complete, that's all.
But she does not want to share anything to the world. 'What I create is for me, not for others" as she told me. I always stimulated her since early childhood to do creational stuff and she loves it. But yeah, what can I say …. her decision is hers, she's 22 and I respect her decisions.
This reminds me the movie UNDERWORLD.

Jin, you are so right! The picture of that lady popped up in my head immediately when I saw this painting but I did not associate it with that particular movie. I will watch it again during weekend!
